I have talked about Fireproof, and Pirates of the Caribbean. But none of those could compare to the love that was shown in Lord of the Rings. I have forever loved the Bridge scene, where Arwen gives Aragorn the Evenstar. I know that a lot of people were offended by the kiss that Aragorn, and Arwen shared during that scene, but I wasn't. If it had been ANY other movie I would have been, but this is Middle-Earth. In Middle-Earth, a kiss is a promise that you will marry. And that you have given your heart to that special someone. But a lot of people don't realize that. The thought that Arwen gave up her immortal life gets to me. Though I know Elizabeth's sacrifice was selfless, but it just does not compare! Whenever I watch Arwen's Vision, I can't help but cry my eyes out.
The love that Arwen had for Aragorn would last for a lifetime. That's exactly how I want my marriage to be.
